The Los Angeles Angels have signed outfielder Cade Marlowe to a minor league contract. The 29-year-old previously opted out of his deal with the Athletics and has a career.737 OPS over 109 Major League plate appearances. Marlowe, ranked as high as the Mariners' No. 16 prospect, hit.240/.330/.406 from 2023 to 2024, with three home runs and four stolen bases. He posted impressive Triple-A numbers, batting.317/.394/.521 with seven home runs and 24 stolen bases before opting out. This signing may provide Marlowe with a better opportunity to reach the majors compared to his time with the Athletics.
