Anna Moesch sets American record in 100m freestyle at nationals

Anna Moesch broke her own American record in the women's 100m freestyle, clocking 51.88 seconds at the Toyota USA Swimming National Championships on July 28. The rising University of Virginia junior's time improves on her earlier record of 51.94 set on May 25. Moesch now holds the fifth-fastest time in history, trailing only four performances from elite swimmers. The championships, taking place in Irvine, California, continue with more finals scheduled for Wednesday night, including the men's 200m butterfly, where Luca Urlando secured a victory.
