Anne Chen aces eighth hole, quadruples earnings at Portland Classic

LPGA rookie Anne Chen made her mark at the Portland Classic, finishing T-14 with a 6-under 66. Chen, a former Duke player, closed her round with an impressive ace on the par-3 eighth hole, propelling her total earnings for the event to $29,230. Before this tournament, she had earned just $7,097 throughout her LPGA career. In addition to her earnings, Chen also contributed to a $20,000 donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through the ace. She started her final round on the 10th hole, showing strong performance through the latter part of the round, which included three birdies.
