Anthony Martial explores Premier League return after becoming a free agent

Forward Anthony Martial is seeking a return to the Premier League following his departure from Mexican club Monterrey in June. Intermediaries have contacted several English clubs, including Leeds United, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Newcastle United, Sunderland, and Tottenham, regarding his current availability. While these discussions have occurred, none of the mentioned clubs are currently reported to be actively pursuing the 30-year-old. Martial, who spent nine years at Manchester United, is also considering opportunities in France, Spain, Italy, and Saudi Arabia. He remains eligible to sign with a new team outside of the standard transfer window as a free agent. The Frenchman previously played for AEK Athens following his exit from Manchester United in 2024.
