Anuj Dal retires from Derbyshire cricket to pursue finance career

Anuj Dal, a 30-year-old all-rounder for Derbyshire, has announced his retirement from professional cricket to take a full-time job in financial services with Ryley Wealth Management. He played 76 first-class matches since his debut in 2018, scoring 3,773 runs and taking 128 wickets, including a standout 2022 season where he was named Derbyshire's County Championship player of the year. Dal has also served as vice chair of the Professional Cricketers' Association since 2021. He expressed disappointment over not securing a new contract but is looking forward to his future career.
