Apollo, Tech football teams merge to join St. Cloud Crush co-op in 2027

The St. Cloud school board approved a merger of the St. Cloud Apollo and St. Cloud Tech football teams to become part of the St. Cloud Crush co-op beginning in the 2027-28 season. This decision follows a previous co-op merger that included multiple athletics programs. Apollo football coach Mike Beehler stated that his focus remains on the current season and ensuring seniors have a successful conclusion to their year. Currently, only boys basketball, boys soccer, volleyball, swim and dive, track, and cross country are not under the Crush co-op umbrella. Both teams play games on September 18, with Apollo hosting Royalton and Tech visiting Breck.
