Arch Manning prepares for Texas season after uneven 2025 campaign

Texas quarterback Arch Manning enters the 2026 season looking to build on a strong finish to his first year as a starter. Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel noted that Manning struggled with accuracy early last season but improved significantly toward the end of the year. Manning finished 2025 with 3,163 passing yards and 26 touchdowns, leading Texas to a 10-3 record and a Citrus Bowl victory over Michigan. The program added several transfers this off-season, including receiver Cam Coleman and running backs Hollywood Smothers and Raleek Brown, to bolster the roster. Manning is scheduled to start his second season as the primary signal-caller when Texas opens against Texas State on Saturday.
