Archmere's Bernadette Patino wins preseason player of the year poll

Bernadette Patino of Archmere has been awarded the title of the Delaware Online Preseason Field Hockey Player of the Year. Patino received the most votes in an online poll conducted by Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists, outpacing four other nominees. The All-State first team member from the previous fall continues to receive recognition leading into the new season. The polls for other sports such as girls volleyball and football will resume next week, with more nominees to be announced on August 24.
