Arda Guler boosts creativity for Mourinho’s Real Madrid early this season
Summary

Real Madrid has performed strongly in the early stages of the 2026-27 La Liga season, winning five of their first six matches under manager Jose Mourinho. A key contributor to this success is 21-year-old playmaker Arda Guler, who is emerging as a pivotal figure in the team's attack. Guler has created 24 chances so far, averaging an impressive 9.5 chances per 90 minutes, despite not always being a guaranteed starter. His ability to find openings and connect with teammates, particularly Kylian Mbappe, enhances the creativity that Madrid has lacked in previous seasons. Mourinho faces a decision on how to integrate Guler into the lineup moving forward.
