Arda Guler earns praise during Real Madrid loss to Real Betis

Real Madrid suffered a 1-0 defeat against Real Betis at the Villamarin, ending the club's perfect start to the LaLiga season. Despite the result, midfielder Arda Guler emerged as a key performer by creating seven chances and recovering five balls. The 21-year-old Turkey international remains in the starting lineup under Jose Mourinho, though he faces increased competition from newly signed Yan Diomande. Mourinho has faced scrutiny for substituting Guler early in recent matches, citing concerns over yellow cards and team discipline. Guler continues to seek a larger role and has developed a strong on-pitch connection with Kylian Mbappe as the season progresses. The midfielder maintains that his development under Mourinho is on the right track despite the club's recent setback in Andalusia.
