Arizona Cardinals finalize roster following preseason evaluations

The Arizona Cardinals established their 53-man roster following the conclusion of the preseason. General manager Monti Ossenfort opted to retain seven wide receivers, including Simi Fehoko, Jalen Brooks, and Reggie Virgil, while keeping Devin Duvernay in his role as the team’s primary returner. The team released defensive back B.J. Ojulari, who struggled to regain his form following an ACL injury sustained last season. Additional roster adjustments included the release of cornerback Starling Thomas and offensive guard Matt Pryor. James Conner was placed on injured reserve with a return designation, ensuring he will miss at least the first four weeks of the upcoming season. While the starting defensive backfield remains intact, the team moves forward with questions regarding depth at both the cornerback and pass-rushing positions.
