Arizona Cardinals running back Jeremiyah Love remains questionable for season opener

The Arizona Cardinals face uncertainty regarding the availability of rookie running back Jeremiyah Love for their September 13 regular season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers. Love, selected third overall in the 2026 NFL Draft, sustained an ankle injury during the preseason. NFL Network reports that his status for the Week 1 road game is currently a toss-up. Head coach Mike LeFleur retains depth at the position with veterans Tyler Allgeier and Zonovan “Bam” Knight available to handle carries. The Cardinals intend to integrate Love into an offensive unit that features Marvin Harrison Jr, Michael Wilson, and Trey McBride.
