Arizona State football begins the 2026 season unranked in the preseason US LBM College Football Coaches Poll released August 4. The Sun Devils, coming off an 8-5 record in 2025, were previously ranked No. 11 but fell out of the rankings after three weeks during that season. This year, ASU has limited returning starters and is projected to place between sixth and ninth in the Big 12 standings. Ohio State is the top-ranked team, followed by Oregon, Georgia, Texas, and Notre Dame in the Top 5. Arizona State was one of several teams receiving votes but did not make the final Top 25 list.
