Arizona State volleyball opens home season with ring ceremony

Arizona State volleyball begins its home campaign at Desert Financial Arena on September 10, hosting UC Davis to open the Snyder-Park Classic. The team will celebrate its back-to-back Big 12 championships with a ring ceremony during the opening match. The program enters the tournament with a strong start to the season, including an upset of No. 2 Texas and a sweep of No. 14 Minnesota. Freshman setter Elle Mottola enters the week following Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors, while transfer Una Vajagic has recorded 45 kills over the first three matches. The Snyder-Park Classic, named for former head coach Patti Snyder-Park, continues through September 12 with additional matchups against Oregon and San Diego. Other athletic events on the schedule include soccer matches against North Carolina and Grambling State, as well as a football road game against Texas A&M.
