Arizona volleyball finishes winless at Bluejay Invitational after loss to Pepperdine

Arizona concluded its run at the Bluejay Invitational in Omaha with a 3-2 loss to Pepperdine on Sunday. The Waves secured the match with set scores of 25-17, 24-26, 25-19, 22-25, 15-11. This defeat leaves the Wildcats winless for the tournament after earlier losses to Creighton and Tulsa. Head coach Rita Stubbs noted that while her team showed improved competitiveness on the final day, persistent issues with hitting efficiency and ball control hindered their performance. Destiny Ndam-Simpson led the Wildcats with 18 kills and a double-double, while Carlie Cisneros contributed 14 digs and 45 serve receptions in the effort. The team struggled to convert offensive opportunities, hitting at a.169 clip as a group against a defensive-minded Pepperdine squad.
