Arlene Kelly announces retirement from international cricket after England series

Ireland all-rounder Arlene Kelly will retire from all professional cricket formats following the conclusion of the team's ongoing one-day international series against England. The 32-year-old made her international debut in 2022 after moving to Ireland from New Zealand. During her tenure, she played 110 matches and secured 135 wickets, ranking third in all-time dismissals for Ireland behind Isobel Joyce and Laura Delany. Kelly also contributed over 600 runs during her four-and-a-half-year stint with the national squad. Her final match is scheduled for Sunday in Worcester, with Ireland currently trailing the three-game series 2-0. Following the series, Kelly intends to return to New Zealand to be with her family and friends.
