"Arman Tsarukyan racked up another dominant win at RAF Georgia in his final match before clashing with Colby Covington in the RAF 11 on July 18. Ever since arriving in the wrestling promotion, Tsarukyan has been a mainstay while appearing on nearly every show as he awaits his next fight in the UFC. On Saturday, Tsarukyan faced off with Kuat Khamitov, a veteran MMA fighter who did offer the top ranked UFC lightweight a challenge but ultimately he just couldn’t keep up over three periods. The match ended after Tsarukyan scored a lightning quick takedown with 54 seconds remaining in the match to put him up 11-0 and win by technical fall. “Georgia thank you so much for the hospitality,” Tsarukyan shouted to the raucous crowd. “Give me anybody from Georgia, I’ll beat him.” A few seconds later as he was walking out, Tsarukyan dove off the stage into a crowd of his supporters as he celebrated the win. View this post on Instagram Tsarukyan was dominant as expected as he controlled the pace of the match as he continuously frustrate Khamitov both on the feet and on the mat. While Khamitov was able to get in deep on a single-leg of his own, Tsarukyan was able to fight him off and avoid giving up any points. On the flipside, Tsarukyan repeatedly shot in quick and hard for a double-leg takedown as he put Khamitov on his back to rack up seven points in the first two periods. In the third period, Khamitov got deep on another single-leg takedown but he couldn’t get Tsarukyan to the ground and instead he got reversed to give up two more points. A few moments later, Tsarukyan shot in deep in another rapid-fire sequence that put Khamitov down to go up 11-0 to end the match by technical fall as he moves to 7-0 in RAF. Now he sits just seven days away from the matchup against Covington, who is also undefeated in RAF through his first two matches. Covington was an All-American wrestler in college so he’ll certainly offer a much stiffer challenge than Tsarukyan has faced to date and should provide some fireworks as they clash on the mats in Milwaukee.
