Armani Raygoza to play in Cape Cod Baseball League with Orleans Firebirds

Armani Raygoza, a standout from El Paso and player at UT-Rio Grande Valley, has been selected to join the Orleans Firebirds in the Cape Cod Baseball League. This prestigious summer league opened its season on June 13, with Raygoza contributing to the squad's 40-game schedule that runs through August 2. The former Americas High School MVP hit 17 home runs and established multiple team records during the recent college season, becoming UTRGV's all-time leader in home runs and RBIs. Raygoza adds to a list of notable alumni from the Cape Cod league, making him the first UTRGV player to participate since 1992.
