Arsenal explores potential £60m signing of Lille's Fernandez-Pardo

Summary

Arsenal is reportedly in discussions regarding a transfer for Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo, valuing him at £60 million. This move comes as Arsenal seeks to bolster their attacking options, while the pursuit of Julian Alvarez remains uncertain. The financial expectations set by Lille have delayed discussions, but Arsenal is weighing their options carefully as the transfer window deadline approaches. If they resolve the Alvarez situation favorably, formal negotiations for Fernandez-Pardo could accelerate. Newcastle United is also interested, complicating Arsenal's efforts.
