Arsenal finalizes deal for Bruno Guimaraes amid preseason loss

Arsenal has agreed to a £75 million ($101.1 million) deal to sign Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United. Mikel Arteta refrained from discussing the transfer following Arsenal's 3-1 preseason loss to Real Betis. Despite a sluggish performance, Piero Hincapie's corner header was a highlight for the Gunners in Dublin. Guimaraes, who previously expressed a strong desire to join Arsenal, is set to undergo a medical in the coming days. Arsenal has been relatively inactive in the transfer market this summer aside from minor signings and now aims to secure a center-back and another attacker after Saliba's back injury.
