Arsenal set to sign Illan Meslier on free transfer from Leeds United

Summary

Arsenal is poised to sign goalkeeper Illan Meslier from Leeds United on a free transfer. The 26-year-old is expected to complete the move pending a medical, following the conclusion of his contract with Leeds at the end of last season. Meslier had been a regular starter for Leeds but fell out of favor toward the end of the previous season. His arrival could impact Arsenal's goalkeeper situation, especially with Kepa Arrizabalaga's future at the club uncertain due to interest from other teams. If Kepa departs, Meslier could compete for a significant role at Arsenal.
