Arsenal trails Manchester United in pursuit of Mateus Fernandes

Summary

Arsenal is competing with Manchester United to sign Mateus Fernandes from West Ham, who is valued at £80 million. Sources indicate that United is currently in a stronger position due to their proactive approach and willingness to invest. Fernandes, who excelled last season despite West Ham's relegation, has attracted interest from various clubs. Arsenal aims to strengthen their midfield and is expected to continue pursuing Fernandes, although United's advantage complicates their efforts.
