Arsenal visits Napoli for Champions League opening match on Wednesday

Arsenal travels to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples on Wednesday for their opening Champions League match against Napoli. Mikel Arteta’s side enters the contest with four consecutive victories across all competitions, while the hosts look to recover from back-to-back defeats. Arsenal faces several roster concerns, with defender William Saliba ruled out and Cristhian Mosquera listed as uncertain due to a muscle injury. Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay is sidelined for approximately one month following a procedure for a heart arrhythmia. The two clubs last met in European competition during the 2019 Europa League quarter-finals, a series which Arsenal won. Kick-off is scheduled for 20:00 BST, with broadcast coverage available via TNT Sports 2 and HBO Max.
