Arsenal's Martin Zubimendi escapes serious injury, could return soon

Arsenal midfielder Martin Zubimendi has avoided a significant injury following recent scans on an ankle problem sustained during a training warm-down. Zubimendi is expected to miss only a few days, allowing him to potentially return for Arsenal's upcoming match against Nottingham Forest. Meanwhile, teammate Piero Hincapié suffered a more severe injury in the same session and will be out for weeks. Mikel Arteta has indicated that Zubimendi is recovering well, providing additional options for the squad as they approach a busy fixture schedule. Zubimendi has had limited playing time recently, starting only once this season after joining Arsenal from Real Sociedad in July 2025.
