Asher Hong to miss Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships this week

Olympic bronze medalist Asher Hong will not compete at the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships from August 6-9. Hong was absent from the registered gymnast list and did not register prior to the deadline. Last year, he dominated the U.S. Championships, winning the all-around title by a record margin. 2026 will mark his absence after winning the national all-around title in 2025. Fellow Olympian Brody Malone also misses the event while on a break, leaving 2017 champion Yul Moldauer and others to compete for the title.
