Ashley Williams and Alan Sheehan join Wales coaching staff

Former Wales captain Ashley Williams and former Swansea head coach Alan Sheehan have joined Craig Bellamy's backroom staff as assistant coaches. The appointments arrive ahead of Wales' upcoming Nations League campaign, which begins with a match in Portugal on 24 September followed by a game against Denmark in Copenhagen on 27 September. Williams and Sheehan replace James Rowberry, who stepped down to focus on his role at Stoke City, and Piet Cremers, who departed in July for a position at Club NXT. The new staff members will support Bellamy as he prepares to announce his squad on 15 September. Andrew Crofts remains with the coaching team alongside his duties at Tottenham Hotspur. These additions follow recent injury setbacks to players including Rodon, who is expected to be sidelined for up to 10 weeks.
