Aston Martin halts further aerodynamic upgrades for 2026 Formula 1 season

Aston Martin will not introduce additional aerodynamic updates to the AMR26 for the remainder of the 2026 Formula 1 season. Chief technical officer Enrico Cardile confirmed that recent revisions made at the Hungarian and Dutch Grand Prix events mark the end of the team's planned aero development cycle. The team intends to complete a weight-saving program by the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku, after which the car will remain in its final configuration. Despite a difficult start to the year characterized by an overweight vehicle and power unit vibrations, the team opted for a concentrated upgrade strategy over incremental changes. The organization is now shifting its engineering resources toward the 2027 car, using the current season's remaining races as a data-gathering exercise to refine the design direction for the next chassis.
