Aston Villa approaches Juventus for Jonathan David loan deal

Summary

Aston Villa has made an approach to Juventus regarding a loan deal for striker Jonathan David, reportedly including an obligation to buy. This comes after challenges in finding a permanent buyer for the Canadian forward, who joined Juventus last year. David's performance has been under scrutiny, with only eight goals in 46 appearances, and he faced increased competition as the season progressed. If the deal goes through, it will mark a significant change from Villa's initial interest in a loan with an option to buy.
