Alejandro Balde's future at FC Barcelona is in question as Aston Villa and Benfica have both made inquiries regarding the defender. With Joao Cancelo's recent signing, Balde is reportedly open to leaving Barcelona, and his agent is exploring options. However, Barcelona's asking price of €40-45 million poses challenges, as Benfica's initial offer may not exceed €20 million. Aston Villa is also in need of a left-back, but budget constraints could hinder any immediate progress. The interest in Balde could expand as the transfer window approaches its deadline.
