Aston Villa is weighing a summer transfer for Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich. Following the triggering of Youri Tielemans’ release clause by Manchester United and the long-term injury to Amadou Onana, Villa seeks midfield reinforcements. Palhinha is available after a loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur, where Spurs opted not to buy him. Bayern has set a €25 million asking price for Palhinha, and although there are competitors like Benfica and Juventus, Villa can pay the fee upfront. The midfielder reportedly favors a return to Portugal but Villa's Champions League status may offer an advantage.
