Aston Villa shows strong interest in Bayern's Joao Palhinha
Summary

Aston Villa sporting director Damian Vidagany has confirmed the club's interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha following their recent 2-1 friendly loss to Bayern in Hong Kong. Villa seeks to bolster their midfield after Amadou Onana was ruled out for the season. Although discussions are in progress, no agreement has been finalized. Bayern Munich is reportedly asking for around €25 million for Palhinha, while Villa has yet to meet that valuation. The 31-year-old remains under contract in Munich through 2028, but both parties are preparing for a potential transfer this summer amidst financial negotiations.
