Aston Villa submits offer for Marcus Rashford amid Barcelona uncertainty

Summary

Aston Villa has formally offered to re-sign forward Marcus Rashford from Manchester United amid Barcelona's indecision over a €30m purchase option. Rashford, who previously played on loan at Villa Park, has accepted a salary reduction but faces competition from Newcastle and Tottenham. Barcelona's financial issues complicate their plans, as they shift focus to procuring Anthony Gordon from Newcastle, potentially sidelining Rashford.
