Astros consider Cristian Javier for weekend starts against Tigers

The Houston Astros will begin a four-game series against the Detroit Tigers on June 25. Tatsuya Imai is slated to start Thursday's game, while Spencer Arrighetti will take the mound on Friday. Manager Joe Espada indicated that Cristian Javier is a candidate for one of the weekend starts but has not confirmed any announcements yet. Javier would be on five days’ rest since his last rehab start, suggesting he could return to action soon.
