Astros show interest in Moniak, McCarthy, Skubal, and Gray

The Houston Astros are actively pursuing outfielders Mickey Moniak and Jake McCarthy, along with starting pitchers Tarik Skubal and Sonny Gray, as the trade deadline approaches. Astros' needs include a left-handed outfield power bat, a starting pitcher, and a right-handed leverage reliever. Moniak is currently having a strong season with the Rockies, batting.282 with 15 home runs, while McCarthy also enjoys a productive year at.307. Skubal, a two-time AL Cy Young Award winner, is recovering from elbow surgery and may be considered despite potential cost concerns.
