Asuka announces role as police chief for a day in Osaka

"

Off television since her loss to IYO SKY at Backlash back in May, we still don’t have any information on when Asuka will be back in WWE. But it probably won’t be at Survivor Series, because the day before that show she’ll be enforcing the law in her hometown of Osaka, Japan. She announced the news earlier this week (translation via X/Twitter): 【Announcement】 On Friday, November 27, I will be serving as the one-day station chief at the Ooyodo Police Station in Kita Ward, Osaka City. On the day, in addition to giving away police goods signed by me, I will also sign any goods you bring with you. If you’d like to participate, please leave a comment on this post! Venue: Kita Ward Citizens’ Hall, Osaka City Start time: Morning (details to be announced later) 【告知】⁰11月27日（金）、大阪市北区にて大淀警察署の一日署長を務めることになりました。⁰当日は、私のサイン入り警察グッズのプレゼントに加え、お持ちいただいたグッズへのサインも行います。⁰参加希望の方は、この投稿にコメントをお願いします！⁰会場・大阪市北区民ホール… — The legendary Empress ASUKA / 伝説のASUKA皇后 (@WWEAsuka) October 27, 2026 The Empress of Tomorrow won’t be chasing down perps or anything though. The “police chief for a day” gimmick is mostly that, and Asuka will be giving away signed police merch and other items throughout her day “in charge” of the Kita Ward cops. Which is good, because based on this follow-up I don’t think the rank-and-file are confident in her approach to law enforcement… Police Chief: “ASUKA-san, I’d like you to help reduce crime in Osaka.” ASUKA: “Sure thing~” All officers: “Chief ASUKA… sniffle 😭” The officers shed tears at the too-lighthearted reply On the morning of the 27th, I’ll be serving as a one-day police chief at the Oyodo Police Station in Kita Ward, Osaka City 👮‍♀️ 署長「ASUKAさん、大阪の犯罪を減らしてほしいです」⁰ASUKA「ええよーん」⁰署員一同「ASUKA署長…じーん😭」 軽すぎる 返事に署員 涙する 27日午前、大阪市北区大淀警察署の一日署長やります👮‍♀️ pic.twitter.com/fstkEbZ7aG — The legendary Empress ASUKA / 伝説のASUKA皇后 (@WWEAsuka) October 29, 2026 Just wait until some crook gets a face full of mist. Those officers won’t be sniffling then.
