Atalanta hires Maurizio Sarri as new head coach

Atalanta announced the appointment of Maurizio Sarri as their new head coach on June 15, marking the club's third managerial change within a year. Sarri, who previously managed Chelsea and has had a successful tenure at Lazio, reportedly signed a three-year contract. Atalanta has struggled to fill the void left by Gian Piero Gasperini's departure to Roma last year. Following Ivan Jurić's dismissal after a winless streak, Raffaele Palladino briefly led the team to a seventh-place finish and a run to the Italian Cup semifinals. Palladino was let go last week before Sarri's hiring.
