Atalanta rejects Brighton's bid for defender Honest Ahanor

Atalanta has turned down a bid from Brighton & Hove Albion for Italy U21 defender Honest Ahanor. The initial offer was reported to be around €34 million, while Atalanta values Ahanor at approximately €40-45 million. The 18-year-old, who joined Atalanta from Genoa last summer, has made 22 appearances in Serie A and has earned his first caps with the senior Italy national team this month. Ahanor has frequently played as part of a back three but is versatile enough for other defensive roles. Brighton is expected to reevaluate their approach following the rejection.
