Athlete of the Week nominations feature standout performances from local football players

The San Angelo Standard-Times is accepting nominations for the City National Bank Athlete of the Week through September 26. Athletes from Central, Forsan, Harper, Junction, Mason, Sonora, and Water Valley have been highlighted for their performances. Key nominees include Branson Lacy from Water Valley, who had 404 rushing yards and nine touchdowns, and Zeyvion Johnson from San Angelo Central, who rushed for 351 yards and four touchdowns. The finalists will be announced on Monday.
