Athletics announce Forst is out as GM, Feinstein steps in as interim

The Oakland Athletics announced the departure of general manager David Forst on August 7, 2026, following a mutual agreement. Assistant general manager Dan Feinstein will serve as interim GM for the remainder of the season. Forst had been with the organization since 2000 and was appointed GM in 2015.
