Athletics announce progress on new Las Vegas stadium development

The Oakland Athletics are advancing their plans for a new ballpark in Las Vegas, located on a nine-acre site along the Strip. Developed by Bjarke Ingels Group in partnership with HNTB, the stadium will hold approximately 33,000 spectators and has an estimated cost of $2 billion. Recently, the team reported that the installation of the third and tallest steel truss arch has been completed. Construction remains on track for a 2028 opening, while the Athletics continue to play home games at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento. The design aims to integrate with the Las Vegas skyline and will function as a year-round entertainment venue.
