Athletics target SEC shortstop Tyler Bell in MLB mock draft

In the latest mock draft, the Oakland Athletics are projected to select Kentucky shortstop Tyler Bell with the No. 8 overall pick. Bell, a switch-hitter, rebounded from a shoulder injury to finish his sophomore season with a.343 batting average and 19 extra-base hits. The Athletics have historically had success in the first round of drafts and are looking to continue that trend this summer. Last year, they picked pitcher Jamie Arnold with the 11th overall selection and may focus on either pitching or position players again this year.
