Atlanta Braves release Aaron Schunk before series against Mets

The Atlanta Braves released Aaron Schunk from their organization ahead of their series against the New York Mets at Citi Field on Monday. Schunk, who did not appear in a game for the Braves, had been playing for their Triple-A affiliate, the Gwinnett Stripers. The Braves are coming off a series where they took two out of three games from the Baltimore Orioles. Schunk was a 2nd round pick in the 2019 MLB Draft and has played parts of two seasons with the Colorado Rockies.
