Atlanta Falcons consider trade for Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel

The Atlanta Falcons are reportedly considering a trade to add quarterback depth as the 2026 season approaches. Currently, the team maintains four quarterbacks on its roster, including Tua Tagovailoa, Michael Penix Jr., Jack Strand, and Cooper Rush. Despite this depth, concerns regarding performance and recent adjustments to the offense under coach Kevin Stefanski have led to speculation about further acquisitions. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk identified Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel as a potential target for the Falcons. Gabriel, a second-year player selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, played 10 games for the Browns last season. With the Atlanta roster currently undergoing cuts from 90 players down to 53, the team must soon finalize its active roster and practice squad allocations.
