Atlanta Falcons starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa appeared to aggravate a back injury during practice on Thursday. Tagovailoa touched his back and sat on the grass during individual drills, according to media observations at the session. The quarterback did not participate in any further throwing activities during the portion of practice open to reporters. Backup quarterback Cooper Rush took over individual drills in Tagovailoa's place. Tagovailoa previously missed time during training camp this summer due to a similar back issue. He was named the starter for the team's Week 1 matchup just days prior to this injury occurrence.
