Atlanta Falcons waive wide receiver Vinny Anthony and center James Brockermeyer

The Atlanta Falcons waived undrafted wide receiver Vinny Anthony II and offensive lineman James Brockermeyer on August 30, 2026, as the team finalized its 53-man roster. Anthony, a training camp standout who averaged 30 yards per kickoff return during the preseason, could potentially return to the team's practice squad. Brockermeyer also earned praise from coaching staff for his performance in camp, specifically for his work as a substitute center. The cuts are part of a broader roster reduction that left the Falcons with 71 players ahead of the 6 p.m. ET league deadline. Alongside Anthony and Brockermeyer, the team released several other players, including Keelan Marion, Devonnsha Maxwell, and Channing Tindall.
