Atlético and Cruzeiro play to a 1-1 draw in Copa do Brasil quarterfinals

Atlético drew 1-1 with Cruzeiro on August 25 at Mineirão in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil quarterfinals. After conceding an early goal to Cruzeiro's Arroyo, Atlético equalized through Renan Lodi in the 24th minute of the second half. Atlético controlled much of the match with 55% possession and a strong passing rate, while Cruzeiro capitalized on a long-range effort. Both teams now prepare for the decisive second leg at Arena MRV on September 1.
