Atlético loses Ruan early in Copa do Brasil quarter-finals against Cruzeiro
Summary

Atlético's Ruan sustained an injury just 18 minutes into the first leg of the Copa do Brasil quarter-finals against Cruzeiro on August 25. Ruan went down after a challenge from Kaio Jorge, leading to concerns about his health. Following treatment, he was unable to continue and was substituted. With other defenders injured, coach Eduardo Domínguez brought in 18-year-old Vitão as Ruan's replacement.
