Auburn and Baylor meet in Atlanta for the Aflac Kickoff Game

Summary

Auburn faces Baylor this Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta for the annual Aflac Kickoff Game. Both programs enter the contest seeking a fresh start after finishing the 2025 season with identical 5-7 records. Auburn enters the game under new leadership following the departure of former head coach Hugh Freeze. Baylor head coach Dave Aranda remains with the program for the 2026 season despite persistent questions regarding his job security. The matchup features a quarterback duel between Byrum Brown, now at Auburn, and Baylor's DJ Lagway. The two teams previously played in Waco last season, where Auburn secured a 38-24 victory.
