Auburn baseball coach Butch Thompson enters Alabama Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame

Auburn baseball head coach Butch Thompson will join the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame this December. The association selected Thompson for the honor following his 11-season tenure as the Tigers' skipper. During his time leading the Auburn program, Thompson guided the team to five NCAA Regional titles and two College World Series appearances. He shares this year's induction class with AHSAA coaching legends Michael Blair of Maplesville High School and Drew Miller of G.W. Long High School. The official induction ceremony is scheduled for December 10 at 7 p.m. CT in Hoover. This recognition marks the third Hall of Fame honor for Thompson, who previously received similar distinctions from Itawamba Community College and the Mississippi Association of Community College Conference.
