Auburn fails to receive votes in AP Top 25 Poll after win

Auburn defeated Southern Miss 43-8 on Saturday but did not earn any votes in this week’s AP Top 25 Poll. The Tigers had received two votes following their 17-16 win over Baylor last week but dropped from three votes in the preseason rankings. Despite the victory, Auburn is unable to break into the rankings and will next host Florida in their conference opener. The top of the rankings saw Texas rise to No. 1 after a comeback against Ohio State, while Oklahoma and Oregon dropped significantly following losses.
